Metzler 160/80B-16 is what I run. There's about 1/16" clearance to the swingarm tube.

WIDER TIRE IN REAR

Just remember that a 1600 is different than a 1500 when it comes to tire size........................sounds obvious but confusion over this has happened before on the board.

Yes it has, I didn't know they were different till BD told me on another thread.
It was suggested by someone, we add the year of the bike we own in our signature. I think it is a good idea but it hasen,t seemed to catch on ???

WIDER TIRE IN REAR

I know what Cadd rides, but I don't know what everyone else rides.. Doesn't matter as I ride the fastest 06 green and silver one.. LOL

for 1600's these are a choice. I added a (*) to the ones i will be hunting down, note these are BOTH radials, I need these ASAP, for in stock, and lower prices.. lower shipping counts too, as i will install em all by myself unless I can convince Cadd to come back East.. ;-)

Metzler 880's
* = radial
Front
150 80HR 16 ...........................(1/2 inch taller than stock)
150/80R16M/CTL 71V ..............ME880F*

Rear
180/ 60 HR 16 ...........(1/4 inch shorter than stock)
180/70/16
180/70R16M/CTL 77H ME880 *

Anyone know, anyone, who knows anyone?

Pros: More traction, better gas mileage, lower RPM on the freeway

Cons: Harder to mount, more unsprung weight, higher cost, less chance of finally doing a wheelie on a Nomad. ;)

The Metzler site hasn't got Nomads! Grrrr you have to select bikes by click down menu before you can see any tire sizes!

What links are you guys looking at?

Ron Ayers Motorsports, Motorcycle Superstore. For the rear tire look for one for a '90's Goldwing 160/80HB-16. That's the one I use.

That's right. I run a Metzeler 160/80HB-16 GL1500 Goldwing tire also on my '99 1500. Higher Load rated too. I love it.
