replacing grips question?
Just purchased a set of Iso Grips from Kuryakyn, and curious how to install them. This is my first time pulling off the throttle side and am a little intimidated I'm going to pull of the switch housing and a tiny little spring is going to come flying out. Any words of advice or tips. Thanks in advance.

Don't panic. I was in the same boat as you when I replaced mine. The switch housing pretty much stays together and the best part...no little springs.
Take everything off slow enough that you remember how everything looked with the stock grips, that way when you replace them, it's just doing everything in reverse.

Not too much worry on that side just watch your wiring. There is a hole in the bar you have too line the switch hosing back up too.
On the left side if you use the kury glue once you start sliding the grip on DON'T STOP it's really quick setting. |

hey thanks for the link. I do have a throttle lock, and that gadget fix it site helped out a ton. Now I just wait until the grips arrive and the work will begin. I'll keep you all updated on the outcome. Thanks again and ride safe.

replacing grips question?
Word of caution on putting on the left grip with glue. if the instructions say put glue on the bar and slide grip on- DON'T! the instructions are old I found out from doing it this way. had to call Kury to get a new grip. They said to dribble glue into the grip first then slide it on fast, dont stop because it will stop fast. They replaced it free too. Hope this helps.

replacing grips question?
BIG WORD of CAUTION:
Cover your tank with a blanket or something soft and padded along with your fender. Just so nothing dumb happens like a wrench drop or screwdriver. Another thing. Dry fit the left side and see where you want it to be to match the throttle side so they are symetrical before you apply the glue mmmmmmk?

replacing grips question?

When the bike is sitting with no one on it the grips should look symetrical. When I sit on the bike and grab my grips, my fingertips wrap over the rubber and fit on the chrome showing on the front. When I twist the throttle my grips feel the same in each hand as well because my grip never changed. The only thing that changed was the angle of my wrist. The thing that cures the aching wrist on the Kury is the Throttle Boss. That's why these things are made.
