Important regarding wiring diagrams I posted.

CONCHO AND EVERYONE...I POSTED THE WRONG WIRING DIAGRAMS!! SO I REMOVED THE ONES I POSTED.

MAC PM'D ME TO ASK ABOUT THE LETTER AT THE END OF THE MODEL NUMBER AND I REALIZED THAT I MADE A MISTAKE....SORRY I HOPE IT DIDN'T CREATE AN ISSUE.

THE DIAGRAM I POSTED WAS FOR A VN1500N....I ASSUMED THE "N" WAS FOR NOMAD...WRONG...IT WAS FOR A CLASSIC.

THE 2000-2004 MODEL NUMBER FOR NOMADS IS VN1500L1(2000) VN1500L2(2001) VN1500L3(2002) VN1500L4 (2003) VN1500L5 (2004)

Again...I apologize if this caused a problem.

It is very likey the wiring is similar, not perfect maybe, but similar.. probably a good help for most things..

If I had my way there would a sticky for 1500 and 1600 wiring in colors.

Its probably ok, the wiring is usually a little different with the headlight, signal lights etc. Different countries usually have there own laws about lens color and lighting.

No panic, as Mac says, not perfect but a reasonable guide. I also agree with Mac that I wish we had a sticky with some do's and don'ts for folks and wiring diagrams in color for the 1500s and 1600s. I guess now 1700's too.

So many questions are posted on "how to wire driving lights" and such that it would be worth having. I know the Gadget site has good info but maybe it could be updated here.

There is a sticky. It's the first one at the top of the Nomad Garage - 1500 & 1600 board right underneath the Announcements.

It's titled:

VN1600 Nomad Manual. . .Whole and in Parts.

There is an entire manual in PDF format and it's also broken down by chapters in PDF.

The wiring diagram is in chapter 16. It's not in color however.
