Bike contest

Hi to all on this snowy morning.
Lonestar 92.5 is having a bike contest in conjuction with the Dallas AutoRama. I've entered the old Z1 and if ya'all think it's deserving, I'd like your vote. Here's the link to the page...

http://www.lonestar925.com/pages/sick6/

The bike photo is about 2/3 down the page and the bike is a1975 Kawasaki Z1B 900 in original burgundy.
The top 6 will get to compete at the AutoRama.

Thanks much,
Rhett

That was a different collection of bikes. The Harleys will probably win though.

Bike contest

You got my vote. My first bike was at the age of 20 in 1975. It was a "72" Kawasaki 500. Boy that takes me back to some good memories and times. That was one fast bike and back in those days it was all about fast bikes, too much booze and faster women. The more I think about it the more I think I'm pretty lucky to be alive. Missed a week of work once when I fell off the back wearing a t-shirt and cut off shorts. Peeled me raw. Wow, those were some good times. Good luck with the competition.

Bike contest

Well I bought the old girl brand new in July '75, because everyone I rode with was leaving me behind, so I decided to get something that they couldn't out run. Took it out one time to "get a feel for it" was going to run it up to redline in each gear so I knew what to expect and how to handle it. 1st gear, no problem, 2nd gear, when I hit redline we were at 80mph. Shut it down 'cause I figured 80 in 2nd was enough and I probably didn't want to know what the other 3 gears would do.

I appreciate everyones' vote. I'm beginning to think I may have over promoted, from what I hear, but any time I can show folks there are other manufacturers than Harley, its good. Nothin' wrong with Harley, just get tired of the BS.

Bike contest

Thanks guys for all the votes. As of this morning, the site is still accepting votes, or so it appears. I checked the site last night and there was no info posted yet on which bikes made the cut. As soon as I know something I'll let you all know. I'm sure I've asked, but if anyone knows where there is a full set of OEM exhaust laying around for the Z1, I'd be interested.

Thanks again, Rhett
