Added an almost leather tour trunk.

I’ve thought about adding a trunk for some time, and then I found something a little different in the way of a trunk. It won’t be for everyone, but I wanted to share it with you that might be interested.

Manufacture: Willie & Max
http://www.willieandmax.com

Model Purchased: TT517
http://www.cycleluggage.com/willie_a...our_trunk.html

Dimensions: 13" wide X 9.5" high X 10"

Mount: Cobra luggage rack modified to fit stock sissy bar ’06 Nomad

Here’s a few pictures:

If you're still interested, this mfg'r offers this same size bag in many styles, like with more straps and glitter. It's a synthetic leather, but on a hard case trunk. It may fall apart in a season, I don't know, but it looks fairly well put together. Made in the USA.

Liz and I are both running Willie and Max tail bags, just in a different style. Lots of room in them. I did put stiffners in the sides to help the bag hold it's shape.

My husband and I both had the 'almost leather' trunks and within 3 months they went to hell and in the first year were pretty much ready for the trash, so I started to make real leather trunks. We have had the original trunks for 4 years, with nothing inside so they retain their shape, and other than the leather fading, they look like they did the day I made them.
