Hom many tenders on one circuit?

We added 2 more bikes to the family this season so along with the tractor, we will have 5 batteries to tend. Last year we had 3 to deal with and I had them all sitting on the bench in the basement and all on the same circuit via a surge protector power strip. My small work room only has one plug in it so my question is, how many battery tenders can/should you have on one circuit? Is it a bad thing to have the batteries/tenders all next to each other?

The tender draws about 1 amp so you should be fine hooking all of them up on the same circut.

Another thing you could do is rotate the tenders thru the batteries. Put the tender on a battery for a week and just rotate thru them. I have one tender and rotate that thru my bike, wife's bike and the lawn mower during the winter.

Ells,

The battery tender doesn't really need to be on a battery 24/7. With 5 batteries you would only need one or two tenders instead of buying one for each battery.

I read somewheres about hooking 1 tender up in a parellel circut to multiple batteries.

I've heard that parallel charging is not good unless the batteries are all identical. Not sure what the issues might be but makes sense that the tender would "see" just one large battery instead of a bunch of different ones.

You could have had a V-8. Sorry, couldn't help myself. Just saw that on a commercial and read this.

Don't worry. We all have our brain farts from time to time.
