Aeromach vs. Phat II Risers, maybe a trade?
I've been reading up on the different risers people use. When I bought my bike, it came with a set of Aeromach risers, in the package, not installed. However, looking at their websites (http://www.scootworks.com/partskawhandle.htm vs. http://www.aeromach.net/cat_pg4.html) it looks like the Phat II's have a better reach back than the aeromach (3" vs. 1.5"). Since my main obstacle is reaching for the bar, rather than the height of the bar, (especially at a full turn of the bars) it seems the Phat II might be better for my needs. But I have to ask, does it really look like the picture on the scootworks page (the red bike, labeled "Above and below are PhatRisers II on Vulcan 1600.") Because from that angle anyway, it just doesn't seem as... I don't know, pretty, as the Aeromach.
Still, if it would offer a better reach back, it seems like it would be better for me. (I never measured my arms, but I'm 5' 6" with 29" a inseam, and my arms and legs seem proportional compared to most people.) One thing I was thinking, since a lot of people who are interested in the Aeromach have said that they have to wait a long time for them (I think it was like 5 or 10 weeks?), maybe I could do a trade, you get the Phat II's to me, I give you the Aeromach. (There is a $25 difference in price, we could make that up with shipping, or if you are near me [Washington DC Suburbs], help me with the install since I'm pretty clueless, and I'll help you as well if you want) So really, it's two questions: Am I correct in reading that since reach is my issue, the Phat II's help more; and is a trade like this reasonable?
