I need to replace a bulb in my lightbar. The one I took out was a 35watt H3 bulb. I am having a heck of a time finding a 35w. Can I replace that with a 55watt without any other modifications? Has anyone else done this?

If the bulb base is the same it will work , it will also run a little hotter which may cause the plug to melt, some do some don't. There are Hi-temp plugs available at most auto supply stores if you need to replace them.

bigbear, the bulbs in my lightbar are 25w H3's and the closest thing I could find was the 35 watt. I tried a 55 watt in there but they are just too bright so I leave the bar turned off.

The 35 watt was found in a Marshall catalog, pt # 12-4071. Hope this helps!

my Cobra spots are a 25W bulbs that cost about $8 off internet or cycle shops. if you put a higher watt in there I'm sure it will blow fuses. not sure about your setup though, but as a general rule you should stay with the same watt as what came in your lights for safety sake.

Hey bigbear, I have 2 new 35w H3 bulbs. If you cannot find one, let me know. I think I am into them $10.00 each. Send me a PM if you want to work something out.

Guys with cobra spots buy 4-6 bulbs at a time, you will save shipping and will need them

I bought my spots out of JP Cycles and have yet to replace the bulbs. Cobra spots must be hard on the bulbs.
