Looking for larger lowers

I am looking for some larger lowers to replace factory ones in the hope of minimizing the buffeting on the road. What do you recommend?

Check out the lowers here: http://www.chucksterscustoms.com. He's a member here and is a great guy to deal with. I've had a set of his lowers since my bike was practically brand new.

+2

The lowers from Chuckster made a world of difference on my bike.

Anything you by from Joe will be perfect. He won't send it to you if it isn't.

I think I will order them from Chucksters. From his website it appears they will fit a stock 2007 Nomad set up. I have to get some of those wind guards for my hand grips from him too.

I have made quite a few from lexan and it is not difficult. BUT, chuckster is not charging that much for his and, from what I have seen posted here, they are great quality.

Along with the aftermarket lowers....add some engine guard chaps (I have the one-piece AirLite). Your buffeting will be a thing of the past. The combination of those two things eliminated it completely from my ride.... !

Kris, Do you use the Airlites in the summer also, or just in the colder months? (Though where you are at, the cooler months are more abundant!)

+1 on the Chuckster lowers. Outstanding product. Also consider the engine guard chaps (I have the Desert Dawgs). It helps with buffeting, but might be a bit warm in the summer.

Regards,

Conan

We run with our engine guard covers on the Nomads year round and ours are heavy leather. We have been to some of the hottest parts of the US and have only taken them off 3 times in 7 years
