CycleCat Leather

I just wanted to let everyone know that I make leather accessories for Nomads. I make mud flaps, fork bags, windshield bags, engine guard covers (heavy and light), bag guard covers, 3 sizes of top luggage, leather lowers, foot board fringe, kickstand covers, and whippers. I have all the patterns for the 1500 and some are the same for the 1600; for the products that are different, engine guard covers for example, I am in the process of making patterns for the 1600 Nomad. I use premium leather called English Bridle Leather, each piece is oiled and a layer of UV protector is added; I use silver over brass hardware so they do not rust, and I have access to a variety of different colours of acrylic spots as well as silver spots, and Montana Sterling Silver conchos. I hand cut and hand stitch every piece myself so most pieces are labour intensive but you will be hard pressed to find better quality anywhere. I guarantee all my stitching for 2 years and in 6 years I have never had a stitch break or come apart on anything on our Nomads. I have pictures of everything I make and can forward them on to anyone that is interested.

I have a price list but am open to serious offers. I will ship anywhere the US and Canada, usually through the post office so the shipping prices are reasonable, and the customer pays the shipping. I have been burned more than once (somewhere in Washington is a set of $1500 mud flaps on a trike with hand engraved rockers and POW/MIA plates on them) by sending product before getting paid and then not receiving the money so I have to have payment in my hand before I ship anything.

After seeing your work in Custer this year, I have to say that this is top notch work. Some of the best quality leather craftsmanship I've ever seen.
Don't really know if an endorsement from an audio engineer means anything, but I still have to weigh in. ;)
Really nice stuff!

Beautiful stuff!! You really ought to consider making a blog or some other sort of free website where you can put pictures, price, and more information.

Hey Jared, I had a website for 2 years and sold nothing off of it. I now rely on word of mouth and find a great bunch of people like those here and get permission from the head honcho (that would be Trip) to try to sell my products. Since some of my products are pretty specialized for Nomads, it's hard to sell to other motorcyclists even though a few of my products will fit on any type of motorcycle.

I'll say that I saw your work while at Devil's Tower. Great quality work and material. I still want to order a pair {frt. and back} of black mud flaps. Can you "pm me" a price for a pair with blue reflecting "studs" such as you have in red?? With and without conchos.
Thanks C.C.

I just ordered up a pair of matching windshield bags. It has been hard to find any with the tach in the way. Also some other goodies which will be a surprize....

Do you have a website or picture site of your work. What I have seen looks great. Would like to see more.
I want to get a tank bra/cover that wraps the bottom sides of the tank to protect under the front of seat and legs. Do you make anything like that? how much?

Looking to upgrade my engine guard chaps. Do you have a pic of the russet red ones on Ruby? I think Lucille's seats and backrest may get recovered in the near future to the reddish brown.

Hi ccmjr77, I'm sorry but I do not do tank bibs or covers for the bottom of the tank. I've seen way too many tanks scratched from bibs and covers to ever make the pattern and sell them.

I am working on transferring my pics to photo bucket and will post when I have that done for you to look at what I make.

Hi LW, how are you doing? Do you mean these engine guard covers?

I can do these, without the hand made and engraved buckles, with the same spots or with domed silver spots. Of course, I could get you the buckle sets also but they are a bit pricey. I have no chestnut leather right now but can get some in a couple of weeks.

I make them in black; I can use the acrylic red spots or silver domed spots and the hardware would be silver roller buckles. With the silver spots, pockets, and Montana Silver conchos they are $238.00 CAN for the pair. Add another $10.00 for the acrylic spots. I have a pair for a 1500 in black with red thread and red acrylic spots.

i am very interested in your leather products. i would like to have a custom rear fender bib that goes where the rear seat was. i have a mustang bib on it now, but would like to have a fancy leather one with my name in it, and fancy lacing around the edge. can you do one of these if i send you a full size pattern and drawing? bill
