Rode the Nomad in the Rain

Honey and I decided the Nomad needed a test in the rain today. It's been a hot and dry summer in the Pacific Northwest, so we haven't had much chance yet to test her in the "native" environment up here. Anyway, not only did we find some rain, but torrential downpours. The Nomad was AWESOME! Handled like a dream, solid and stable.

I haven't found much that the Nomad can't handle. I haven't tried snow and ice yet though.

They are great machines, Ive tested mine in a tornado (by accident) and a few snowy days here, it passes with flying colors.

Been a quite a few storms myself and never had any problems. My wife just shakes her head when I say I'm going for a ride and its raining outside.

I've been in rain with my Nomad, even a heavy downpour. It handles the rain great. With engine guard chaps to keep my feet dry and a rain suit, I don't mind when it rains.

I'll have to pass on the snow and ice testing. I've done the heavy downpour thing, though.

Can't wait to get rid of these Bridgestone tires and really experience what theses bikes can do.

Rode in heavy rain, light rain, hail, and strong head/cross winds all while pulling a trailer. It handled all well in fact handled the hail much better than I did.

Have not ridden in the rain with the wife on-board (yet), but can't imagine the Nomad having any problems. I'll be more concerned with how she'll handle a heavy rain. It can be intimidating.

Rode the Nomad in the Rain

Fog is all that stops me and because then I can't see where in blue blazes the road is...

Snow after first salt will stop me too, since it eats these wheels for breakfast lunch and dinner, and makes an in general mess of things.

In June it rained 27 days, and in July 20 more.... If I don't ride in rain I don't ride.

Hardly bother with rain gear. It is pretty rural and so I go fast enough that the windscreen and desert dawgs just blow rain away from me.

When other riders are putting rain gear on I am taking most of my clothes off so they don't get wet in the first place.

I'ld rather be cold 45 minutes than be damp and cold all day long.

Rode the Nomad in the Rain

I was on a ride today and got caught in a downpour for about 3-4 miles on a twisty, hilly mountain road just west of Globe. I can say for sure that I like having a car tire under me in conditions like that. Holds the road much better than a motorcycle tire.

Just had to bring the CT into the conversation. Are you trying to stir up trouble?
