Look out...at 12000kms they start to expand and will be driven through the tops of your pistons. ::)
![]() Seriously, no. That's just a recommendation. I replace mine more often than recommended just to give me something to do.

I have had my plugs in at least 20,000 miles so far, and still firing. I switched to the NGK Iridium plugs a couple years ago.

At 10,000 I pulled mine to clean them and didn't need too. I'll peek at them again when I hit 20,000 miles. This isn't 1970 anymore where plugs could be worn out at 10,000 miles.

I always judge mine on how well she fires in the spring. I add fuel stabilizer in the winter and burn that out in the spring and if she has any hesitation to start on the next tank of good gas I pull them to inspect. have 12,000 on mine and still stock plugs.

Gents,
Thanks a million, this is great. I'm new on this board and have started reading the garage pages recently. I've noticed that some members are quite competent at motorcycle/car mechanics and willing to share their expertise. Much appreciated. KawaNOW should have a "tool" or "utility" to pay these "nomad wizards". Obviously we cannot pay them in gold, silver or cash but there's gotta be some way? Anyway, if anyone rides this way to Vancouver, B.C. they should let me know. The first pitcher will be on me. Cheers, Elvis |

Dunno if that can happen. I don't do Passports to go anywhere. Used to like going to Canada and fight the Yunglaise, which I did in Montreal, Upper Canada Village, Ile' St Heleans also in Montreal, The Plains of Abraham Quebec, and Ft Louisisburg NS.
I fear the day is done for that now. You guys got great beers...
