possible nomad purchase

Hi all new to the forum. I have at the moment a honda cbr 600. First bike got it in a trade for a jeep. Well i really like the bike around town but i just got back from and overniter that was about 4hours one direction. It sorta hurt buy the time i got home the next day. So anyway at a local dealership they have a 1999 nomad for sale. Its in decent shape. The one bag has a pretty good scratch in her but other than that it looks pretty good. THe only thing that bothers me is that it has 29k on it. I was just wondering how these bikes hold up with some miles on them. Also i was wondering if you think a newer rider can handle a larger bike like this too. My gf has a 02 shadow 750 thats a blast to ride around on and i have no problems with riding that. I really like to know what you guys think. THanks
