Nomad shopping is so HARD!

Every day I search here, craigslist, cycletrader, ebay for my very own Nomad. WHY :'( is it so hard to find one? Where are they all hiding? I don't see any on the road around here, except MIKEY who doesn't park in marked parking spaces. I have seen a black one in the Hermitage/Old Hickory area, out side of Nashville and one parked on lower Broadway here in Nashville. I even saw an 03 Burg/Gold on the interstate back when it was still warm around here. So, what are the people doing with these bikes. Are they squirreled away? Are they just sitting in a garage and not ridden? FOR SHAME! Here I am an old broad who still wants one last glorious ride, (on a Nomad), instead of my beloved 93 HD. Where are they!!!

I'm talking to a guy in Georgia with an 02 with only 4200 miles. Wish me luck. He has had 6 guys call him in 4 hours asking about the bike. Then me... where are they all!

Skeet, they are out there. I'm beginning to think you are to particular. ;)
Your not going to find one EXACTLY like you want. thats half the fun, putting accessories on it.
There was a left over 08 on here for under 10,000.

I have seen only 1 around here in the past year. I lucked into finding an 05 with 3500 miles at a nearby dealer. Good luck in the search.

There are around four or so on Craigslist down here in Florida. I think they were on Tampa and Orlando lists. If you would like some help down this way, I'd be happy to help.

Nomad shopping is so HARD!

Thanks guys, I'm just venting. Don't ya'll know by now, that women just want to vent.... If its meant to be, I'll find the right bike for me. My main issue is not to spend too much. I only have a few riding years left and I don't want to buy new and spend $10 grand. So, keeping it under $6500.00 is my limit. Everything I find on cycletrader within 500 miles has tons of miles on it. I mean over 35,000 miles. I know that a well maintained bike will run for 100,000 miles over one that has under 10,000 and not been taken care of. I have already run into all that. So, lets see what happens next week on the 02. Keep the faith.

OMG! Don't tell me your an "Old Biddy" about to kick off! Are you telling us you haven't been maintained properly? I expect you to last as long as your new bike does..... with proper maintenance.

Good luck Skeet. The local Harley dealer wanted to give me $7,800 for my `07 with only 7,200 miles in immaculate condition. He tried to give me the impression they were a dime a dozen.

When my bike is six years old it might have more than 70 or 80K. And if I'm crazy enough to sell it, somebody will get a very well maintained bike. What I'm saying is I wouldn't think you would want a bike that has set up. I wish I could help you shop in person, It's fun when I'm spending other folk's money. :) I'll keep an eye out for you.

Skeet,
You've got to understand that as men we are wired to try to find a solution to what we saw was a problem. What you were looking for was for us to be sympathetic to your situation. Sorry, we missed it while looking through our BLUE sunglasses. We should have tried looking at your situation from your perspective, that is, with PINK sunglasses.

You might want to check WOW in Marietta Ga. He has some 1500s and 1600s at what seems to be fair prices. Open the link, on the left click "motorcycles", then, at the top of the listings click on "Kawasaki", then scroll down till you come to the Nomads. Here's the link..
http://www.wowmotorcycles.com/
One thing I have noticed, that most folks that have a Nomad, want to keep it. You don't see a lot of them for sale.

Skeeter, lol, you are just right on. We women only want you guys to listen, not tell us how to fix it. But you see, I've worked with men my entire career (police officers) and there is not a single one of them that will tell you how to fix something. So, I've learned to listen and let them fix everything. Nope, I'm not an "old Biddy", I'm a pistol toatin', Harley Ridin, (hopefully a Nomad ridin) Mama!

And what is wrong with PINK, all men look good in pink. I have a brother n law, a true man's man. I bought him a pink button down shirt for xmas a few years ago. The look on his face told me I just slapped him. But, ya know, its his favorite shirt, makes him look good too.
