Garmin nuvi 200 GPS help...

You could mount it but it is not weather worthy. I keep mine in the bag and look at it as needed. You'll find yourself programing short destinations within your longer trip. The GPS wants to keep you on freeways, but you can program it to your next stop and make it go where motorcycles want to go.

You need 12V power. You can adapt a cig lighter off your battery. I have a receptacle (pictured as Accessory Cable) coming off my battery with wires running inside the frame down toward the passenger floorboards. Here it is mounted to the passenger floorboard bracket to be out of sight with the boards up. Then I bought a cig lighter receptacle at WalMart for about $8 and attach it into the mounted receptacle as needed. I can leave the GPS plugged in while inside the bag. I also use it to charge my camera and cell phone.

Since the receptacle is universal I can also use it to hookup a battery trickle charger.

If you'd like a picture of the receptacle setup I'll take one for ya. Here's the best I can for now though.

Merry Christmas

Garmin nuvi 200 GPS help...

Juan....you might want to check out Ram Aqua box which encloses your Garmin in a waterproof box.

Believe the "medium wide" size fits your nuvi 200.
