Custom Paint Job

Does anyone have flames painted on their Nomad? Now that I have seen a lot of bikes on here that are black like mine, I thought about changing it to a special flame paint job (white background with multiple color overlapping flames). I never saw a Nomad other than the solid color or two-toned paint jobs.

Custom paint jobs are $$$$. Great if your budget allows it, but here's some alternative ideas if it doesn't or if you want to take tiny steps first to see if you like it BEFORE you jump in with both feet....

Just some options; not trying to sway you one way or the other (not that I could anyways!)

sawa beautiful true-flame paintjob on a black base at the Lone Star Rally earlier this month.

Update: The folks on this site do flames similar to the ones I saw. It's tempting, but I think if Lucille's paint gets changed it will be to go all red with ghost flames.

I have done body and paint work for over 30 years but never tried to airbrush anything. It's something I always wanted to do. I'm pretty good with base coat clear coat paints. I have painted flames playing around with welding helmets & race cars but never tried motorcycles. Maybe a Nomad is better left alone like they are from the factory.

There's a guy who post regularly on Delphi's Kawasaki Vulcan site who has a Nomad painted orange with green flames. Can't remember his name ...good looking paint job.

If Dano see's this post and chimes in he may have a pic of the other fella's orange bike he could post here for ya'll to see.

About a week ago I was looking at one of our members bike that has flames painted on it. Red or orange. I'll see if I can track them down.

See??? I told you BD was funny that way!!

As for flames on a nomad, haven't seen any but I'm hoping to get mine painted next year with flames on it.
