Headlight problem

Just noticed my headlight doesnt come on when I turn the switch on. Also only 1 light on the lightbar. When I crank the bike the main headlight comes on and the 1 light on light bar. But the other light on light bar never comes on.

Anyone had this problem ? Any suggestions?

Tim

Headlight does not come on until motor starts.......that's the way Kaw wired the bike. Otherwise, bulb is burned out in light bar.

RamMan is right.....your Nomad is wired to allow the headlight to come on only when the engines starts.

As far as your light on the lightbar, bulb is probably burned out.

Sorry Trip but I have to dissagree on the first part of this post. I can just tap my starter button and not start the engine and my headlite and lightbar lights will come on. Or do I have a unique bike?
I agree with second part of answer.

Mine don't come on and neither did 1600 Classic. I was told it was for cold weather starting. Never paid that much attention to it after that.
Ride safe,

I was under the impression that it was to save battery power while starting. If it takes a while to get it started, if the headlight comes on it will drain your battery quicker. Just my 2 centavos worth.

I concur. That's how the Kawasaki technician that did my delivery checklist explained it to me.

My cobra spots come on first when i turn the key on but headlight doesn't light up till she fires over. Due to earlier explained reason. Normal.

Cobras come on with key. Once the starter buttons pushed, whether the bike starts or not, the head light will come on.
