Lightbar light bulb

Noticed this morning that the light bulb on my Cobra lightbar is out. What size bulb do you guys use and can I use the same Sylvania like I'm using for my headlight?

Nope. You have to buy from Cobra on line or go to your dealer. I had to buy two from dealer. $10 each. They have a wire connected to the bulb assembly that plugs in with blade connector. I think mine was blowing as the lens was fogging and moisture was getting on bulb. I sealed the lens to the reflector and haven't had any more problems. Knock,Knock, thats me knocking on wood.
I bought sealed beams on line and if I blow another light I will probably install them instead of messing with bulbs even though the bulbs are brighter I am told.

It would be good if you can find a bright white bulb simalar to the Sylvania headlight bulbs. This way all three lights would match in brightness, instead of the lightbar lamps looking yellow compared to the headlight. It may be difficult to find bulbs that fit in the lightbar housings.

I'd go down to the local parts house and buy a set of seal beams. Not expensive and lots less hassle trying to keep extra bulbs on hand. Just my 2 cents.

Depending on the style of housing sealed beams dont work with all brands, but its worth checking out.

They sell other bulbs with the same hook up at the auto parts store, it's just that they are 35 or 55 watts, which I think may fry your wires eventually. My dealer carries the cobras for 6.99. Not sure what Cobra charges online.

I am pretty sure the sealed beam bulb number is 4411@ napa auto...check it out, if you can get a sealed beam to work you wont be sorry. They dont blow out like the small bulbs. And they are much brighter.

I never did find any 25 watt so I went with Kuryakyn 35 watt bulbs and haven't had a problem with it. Some have went to 55 and added a 15 watt fuse but I don't think you need it. The 35 watts are plenty.
Ride safe,
Dano
