Ecu question....

I understand that the only difference in a vn1600d and a vn1600g is that the general is a cali model. My question is, will the ecu from a g work in a d without making any other changes to the bike?

1500s are compatible with 1500s except the Meanie, different plugs.

1600s with 1600s.

There are spark timing differences, among others.

Years ago, Guy Mobbley from SCP, explained it to me.

I ended up with a Classic ECM after blowing the Nomad ECM.

Ahhh... SCP. We caught up with Sherm a few years back, and intended to do that again in '20. Some sort of pandemic put paid to that trip, but it's on the list of things still firm to do. This pic was in '15 at his favorite meeting spot in Hackbury... He's gotten through quite a few bikes since then, which is a great surprise to nobody
