We take our freedoms for granted and focus on things that are trivial or distracting us from what truly matters. Let’s remember the sacrifices that our troops make and those that paid the ultimate price for us to do what we do. Put God first and use His word as a filter for our lives. We have a KIA from the USS Oklahoma WWII Pearl Harbor that had been buried in graves marked as Unknown in Hawaii returned to his remaining family. It has taken 9 years to identify his remains after family gave DNA samples. His remains where flown in late Friday. Visitation was Saturday at he funeral home, open for all who like to be apart of a Welcome Home Celebration. It was said over 10 thousand people walk past his coffin during the day. Today Our local PGR's served as lead escort, Pallbearers, and flag bearers at the Church where the service was held and at the cemetery. People holding the American flags lined both side of the road for the 5 mile trip from the funeral home to the church. Had to have been 20 thousand + people in 98 degree heat. Beautiful!
