First ride impressions.

Installed my stebel horn from my 900 and rode about 60 miles. Half freeway, half state roads. Found speedo to show 3+ mph according to gps. Rides smooth lots of power. Tranny seems clunkier on shifts than the 9. Didnt need 6th till i was over 75, seemed too slow for od even then. Big benefit from the 9 on freeway. Dumb low fuel flasher came on.
Pushed every button on both sides to shut off. Worried i was really close to empty, only put in 4 gall. Is there a way to shut off? I am 6.2, def. need to address seat issue, need to move back a couple inches. Other than that really love it so far. Any info on any of these are appreciated. Gary

Toggle Mode to the right to get rid of the flashing low fuel.

Toggle to the right like Garry says... Then zero one of your trip meters so you can keep a track of when the low fuel warning first showed. As you get more used to your bike, you'll learn how far you can push it, so you don't ever need to literally "push it". I'll regularly go 50km's (about 30 miles) with the low fuel light showing. I know I have at least that distance in reserve.

Youre used to the higher RPMs of the 9. You'll get used to lower RPMs while cruising and will start using 6th not too far above 60, downshifting when you want to pass. If I am crushing at 65, I'm usually in 6th.

Have this for mine, disconnected it. It worked fine, but I had a stumble of sorts at low RPMs. I had a BAK, drilled baffles and a Gman, EJK, fuel controller. I can only think that it was fooling the ECU to changing the timing to an unfavorable curve. Anyway, after unhooking it, the stumble went away and I picked up a couple MPG. This did not happen when I had it set to 5.4% correction with the Commanders, but started when I installed the car tire and reset it to about 2.7% correction.

Greetings, Congratulations and Welcome (From eastern Iowa).

It has been observed that Corbin seats tend to sit a little lower and further away from the tank, while Mustang's tend to lift you up and maybe closer to the tank. Have had both a Corbin and a Mustang on the Vaq. Still have the Corbin... Have not had the opportunity to try the Russell Day Long (RDL) yet. However, according to posts the best seat you'll ever buy. Plus RDL uses your measurements and photos of you on the bike to customize the seat to you and your riding position. My guess is if you also told them what you wanted... ??? I'm sure (hopeful) a RDL owner will chime in.

Ride safe,

What bike? Mean City Cycles does seat modifications to stock seats to improve comfort and placement back or forward and it's much cheaper than an after market seat.

I have heard Mean City cycles is a Month out right now. I went local. Found an Upholsterer that does bike seats and cars. NO Shipping. It was 30.00 to and another 30.00 back for shipping from Mean City cycles. I Paid the same 60.00 for the shaving of foam and reinstall the stock cover. Dropped it off, next day tested, next day picked it up. Much better stock seat now. More space to sit and not be pushed around by the stock foam shape.

Just an Option, and My Thought

Both 5th and 6th are overdrive gears. I would go into 6th at 60mph on level ground, otherwise only on interstate.

I believe Corbin sits you back a little.
