PCV w/ Ivan Tune?

Just wondering if anyone has a PCV tune with IVan's ECU tune?

Mine runs like a top with open air and 2-1 pipe with the Ivan tune....pulls hard at every rpm cleanly and that after removing my EJK tuner. There is no need for any kind of fuel tuner after you get your ecu back. Just plug the injector wires back to stock and go with it.

I will have to retain the PCV, but it is because of all the motor work that has been and is being done to mine.

I kept my PCV connected. I had to add 6% fuel in the upper RPM ranges from 60% - 100% throttle. Had some pinging at between 4000 and 4500 RPM at WOT. All other areas are 0 in the PCV map. Pinging only happened in that one spot. 93 octane gas was used and tank was full. It was about 85 degrees and sunny the first time I heard pinging. I started with 3% fuel increase and kept going up 1% at a time till the issue was resolved.

Ivan offered to reflash the computer since he made a few tweaks for us guys with Air Kits and Pipes. Since I believe I solved the issue, I will not be sending the ECU back right now, but lets see how it goes. Bike ran like a monster on Saturday with my adjusted map. Ivan is great to deal with and I have absolutely no regrets about having flashed the ECU.

Depends on how perfectly you want the bike to run. When Ivan flashes the ECU, he is using fuel maps that he has developed at his shop thru testing. These are essentially the same as downloading a map from Powercommander. It will be very close, but the only way to make it perfect is to have a custom map made at a good shop with a dyno.

Ivan, if you see this and I'm wrong, please correct me.

I guess there is a reason Ivan asks you to list any mods that are on the bike as far as exhaust and intake go.

I believe that is just for reference as all flashes are the same unless you have a large air intake.

When Ivan did mine, I asked about the settings for the pcv. He said it could be set to 0. If I did want to make any changes, he suggest adjusting the fuel setting above 3500 to 2 on all ranges. I've also seen on here where some have adjusted that more, to their liking.

Mine is zeroed right now, but I do plan on making adjustments. At worst, I can either go back to zero or just remove it completely.

I'll be installing a Thunder Mfg. teardrop air kit this weekend. My flash was done right before he adjusted for the BAKs. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get any pinging.

I had a PCV and autotune system on mine before flash. Took it all off while I was waiting to get the ECU back. I get pinging on hard moderate to hard acceleration. I run regular grade gas, always have. Thinking recently I might have to put the PCV system back on. Not sure id there would be long term effects from pinging if I didn't Don't really know that much about all that. I'm running a BAK and a V&H 2:1 pro pipe. looking at changing my intake to an Alley Kat, or a Hypercharger. Maybe back to a set of Dual pipes too. Don't think the changes would make much difference. Any thoughts.

You're going to have to run premium gas. Ivan has told us all this. It's more expensive but not as much as an engine rebuild.

did you try switching to premium, I think Kawasaki recommends it and Ivan does as well, maybe that is the problem.

+1... I had the same issue with ping under load, tall gear, uphill... changing back to premium fuel fixed it.
