dashboard chrome trim

has anyone tried to take the chrome trim off the dashboard. was wandering if its just glued or there is a simple way to take it off. thanks

coach, I have removed the trim. It is not glued in. The rings have integrated locks on the back that snap into the holes on the dash. Once the dash is removed you can squeeze them together to get them to slip back through.

However, they break very easily. I probably broke 25% of them when taking the rings out. I did this so I could have the dash hydrodipped. After I got it back I just snapped them back into place. Even with the broken tabs there is plenty to hold them in place.

I will be doing this again as I am having it dipped again!

If your after the black look, I saw that the 2016 model has some blacked out accents gauge trim included you could order those too! Probably expensive though
