degreasing the engine

What's a good product for washing all that built-up grease off ones engine compartment without harming any chrome or hoses, etc...

A product called "Oil Eater" works well also. Bio-degradable and I got it at Costco.

I use S100 spray foam cycle cleaner....spray on the foam, let it sit about 15 seconds, and rinse....grime gone and it is formulated to be easy on painted parts, aluminum, etc. Best stuff I have ever used. It is available on Amazon.com

Nope, you just wait until the foaming action is gone, then rinse with the hose with a fairly but discretely applied amount of water pressure and the gunk comes away. If your ride is really grimy, repeat the steps a time or two more. S100 products are huge selling apps for m/c cleaning and care and reliable.
