New Guy introducing here

Hola,

New Nomad Owner here. Just picked up an 07 Nomad classic. 11k on her and looks like showroom.

I have ridden dirt as a kid, but new to the big bikes. Took some serious getting used to as there is a gob of torque that I didn't expect. 4 days and 100 miles of evening rides and I'm feeling much more comfortable.

The ride seems to be pure class. I looked at everything in the class and when "ole No. 7" came into view, it was over...even the wife agreed.

So with that being said, any and all advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Welcome from Idaho. A lot of folks are gone right now for the regional rallies so you may not get much response this weekend. Don't feel left out. Make yourself to home.

BTW, not sure what a Nomad Classic is?? I believe the Kawi makes the Nomad with large saddle bags and low pipes on both side and they make the classic with dual pipes on the right side. Which one do you have?

Welcome from cool and dry, at least for this evening, eastern Colorado. Yep, its a heavy bike, but that is part of what makes it the ride it is. Use the rear brake only when coming to a complete stop - that's what's taught for all bikes but this one really means it.
