Vaquero Mirror

My left hand mirror was not mounted very tight and some dumbass who shall remain nameless tried to take the glass out to tighten the mount and the glass cracked. I did this on my Shadow without problems. Anyway, looks like the glass isn't sold separately so I'd have to buy a new mirror unit (around $53 at Bike Bandit). Does anyone have a LH mirror lying around they're not using? Please PM me if you have one you don't need.

Oh well, that's too bad. However, your comment reminded me I had an old pair of Kury mirrors lying around somewhere. I dug them up and they fit. They are smaller but look better. I'll see tomorrow how they work. The mirror position is not real good on the Vaqs and I saw a lot of shoulder with the stock mirrors.

You're welcome to mine if you wind up not liking the Kury's...I took them off with about 300 miles on them so they're mint.

I did get the glass out by pulling on the rubber surround with a pair of needle nose pliers around the large radius corner (about where my finger is). Inside are a couple of screws you can tighten the linkage up bit.

No worries, glad to help. Here's an example of an extender that may solve your shoulder viewing issues...there are a bunch of different ones, this is just the first I dug up.

I like to annoy you Tim, so I purposely put small mirrors, loud pipes and crank my stereo at red lights playing Heavy Metal. LOL

I see fine out of my mirrors that are slightly smaller and I always take a quick peek over my shoulder before changing lanes. And I wanted black mirrors.

I don't know if you have this figured out yet?
but all your local glass companys cut mirror replacments too just take him the mirror to cut a pattern can be done in a couple of hours then simply held in place with silicone, just a thought or purchase new mirrors
