That's messed up.

The cop was dead wrong.

I think if the biker was calm and kept his mouth shut it wouldn't have escalated to what happened. He would have ended up with a ticket that he could have fought.

In most instances if you challenge a cops authority it will be met with force. If you are polite and calm you defuse the situation.

He did and they settled. For not enough though. The cop got just 38 days suspension.

I hope he received a good portion of the Million dollar lawsuit in the settlement. I by no means condone the original actions that were going to possibly take place but I also expect the officer to act in a professional manner after pulling over the biker.

The cop only ended up with a 30 days suspension and is suing to get that overturned and get his back pay. Only in America

Agreed, that's where most people mess up when they start hollering and spitting out there rights. Always use caution when the other person has a gun. You never know what kind of day they had.

and cops wonder why there are at times targets on their backs? All cops should jump down the throat of that asshole cop and thank him for putting their lives at risk with a pissed off public.

Wow.... I'm speechless!! As many of you know, I'm a police sergeant in Kansas City. I'm embarrassed for the u professionalism of this amateur cop. This is what gives the rest of the their officers a bad image to the public. The majority of our officers I know ride motorcycles. I can honestly say this wouldn't have even made a blip on our "radar"... We get racers and riders trying to " best the loop" by taking I-435 around the city ( both Kansas City, Mo and Kansas), to see who can get the best time. Yet, we generally just let them go, unless some one (usually - rider), gets hurt. There are much bigger issue to deal with!!
