Ipod Connector - Questions

I have read mixed reviews on teh Ipod connector. My questions are

1. Does it work with an Iphone?
2. Does it charge your IPhone?
3. Can you use your handle bar switches for all apps (itunes, spotify, pandora, etc.)
4. Are there any issues with the connector?
5. Has anyone bought a longer cord to mount it on the handlebars or gas tank? How did you run the wire, and does it still charge the phone?
6. Anthing else I should know or consider?

I hate to ask all these questions, but I dont want to waste 100 bucks.

I'm new here and just bought the adapter for my new '13 Voyager and thought I'd jump in on this.

1. Yes, I'm using an old 4S 16GB
2. Yes it charges fine.
3. Handlebar buttons operate functions for music, no other apps.
4. I have only had the adapter a few days but it is well made and does "latch" to the 30 pin connector so it should not work its way out by vibration.

This works well overall & I admit the price is steep but the sound quality is greater than the radio. I found it on Amazon for $93 & free shipping. I can't really address your other concerns.

First off I hate everything Apple but I bought a used Ipod just for this bike and it works very well for moving through your music. It actually turns on and off the Ipod with the ignition, kinda cool, and keeps it charged.

I bought the aux mp3 connector instead, bought the Indigo BT9 bluetooth receiver and stream music either from my ipod nano or my phone using Pandora. They usually play kick ass music so I just ride and let the tunes play. I have the 12 volt charger on the right side and a usb plug so I can charge my phone or ipod at the same time.

IPOD adapter, 4th gen 16gb nano with broken button to turn on and off. Works great with handle bar controls and kept me from throwing the nano away.
