LED lights

Recently changed my driving lights and headlight to LED's. It looks great during the day, haven't been out at night to see the difference. Since doing this, I'm getting a good bit of static on the radio stations that normally come in clear. Only one station is still clear. Could this be as simple this as a.) maybe I loosened the antenna wire during install, b.) maybe the pack for the headlight is laying on or too close to the antenna wire and causing interference, or c.) the LED headlight is causing the interference, and I need to go back to the standard bulb set up? Anyone have experience with this? The headlight bulb actually has a little power pack about 6-8 inches down the connector wire.

I to put LED Headlight and drivers in. I don't have any issues with radio interference. And might i say when you get a chance to ride at night you will be amazed.

My guess would be the placement of that ballast pack. Try moving it to the other side of the fairing and make sure it isn't anywhere near the wiring.

I shall dig back into it and move that pack. even it doesn't look like it's near any wires. I can certainly tell people see me more in the day time, can't wait to see it at night.

Thanks for the input!

How do you like the light? Did it do a good job of increasing visibility at night?

Great reviews. Now it says that they are designed as fog lights, no low and high beam. How did you get around that or are there other options? Thanks/Merci/gracias :)

I haven't been out at night, guess I should do that soon.

My headlight will switch from low to high beam. during the day, I can see it gets brighter, shining on the garage wall. I'd assume it's the same at night. I know, I kow, don't assume...

The JDM ASTAR are fog\driving lights, and I used them in the driving light positions. They're pretty darn bright.

Let us know when you get a chance. I'm getting ready to order a HID kit for my nomad.

OK, I contacted Cycle Gear to ask abuot the radio interference, they said they'd never heard of that issue with the Speedmetal bulb kits. So I researched & found a site called cyclposadventuresports.com, they have the H4 LED conversion kits. $64.95, the bulb is 3800lumens, where the Speedmetal bulb is 2200-2400. Reading the reviews a Goldwing owner said he'd tried other LED bulbs that caused radio interference, and this Cyclops unit did not. I'll test it, and report my findings. Part # CIL-LEDMD-H4
