Steering wobble

I have read all the posts on tightening the stem nut tighter than spec but just have one question, when the bike is jacked with front off the ground and checking the bump test should there be a noticable indent at steering center?

No. A detent at center indicates that the bearings are ready to be replaced.

Thanks guys for confirming that for me, I pulled frontend off and lower bearing defiinately shows some wear, will be ordering parts tomorrow
