Thumbs Up Victory in the Wind!

Made it back from Oklahoma Monday night, unloaded the Vic, returned the trailer, showered and poured myself into bed. Work the next day. Then this morning, I left a little early to take my New (to me) XCT out for a trial run. David, all I can tell you is you gotta get one! Had a great time with you guys, by the way. Wish it could have been longer. A little too cold there for me, though.

But as for the bike. The power difference, woa, BABY! Handling, Nothing I've ever ridden like it. Gentlemen, I have loved me some Nomads, but I am a Victory man Now. Me and my .10 washer are down the road!! Ya'll can argue it out all you want to.

I traded my nomad for a new 2014 XCT last Feb. I'm still smiling.

It is nice when you enjoy a new purchase.
It will take quite a motorcycle to get me to switch brands.

Anyone who has ever owned a Nomad will always enjoy or remember it fondly. Once you make the leap to a big Vic Freedom 106...it's all over.... The XCT is a fantastic bike...there are a ton of mods you can do, some nice chrome pieces available...and it's just a monster on long highway cruises. Check out the Vic forums for a couple known issues (right side saddlebag latch for instance)...but the fixes are simple. Feel free to PM as well if you have any questions. Congrats...you will really enjoy that new ride. Post up some pics when you get a chance....!

Indeed it will. I liken the Nomad to a P-51 Mustang and the Vic XCT to an F-16 fighter. They will both "get you there"....one just does it more effortlessly.

Soon as we get a break in the weather, I'll take and post some photos. There's not a whole lot he didn't put on this thing already. I think it will be my first 'buy and ride' bike. Nothing I need to add to make it mine. Anything I would have added, is already there. Seems kind of wrong some how........there must be something I can spend money on modifying the ride?!

Although these are "big" bikes, My first real surprise was just how managable and easily ridden this bike is. It's like they somehow hit the perfect combination of large bike with lots of room and small bike feel. I thought it was hype, but ride one....you'll want one. The reports really don't do justice to the actual bike. Sorry to break it to you guys, but when Blowndodge talks about his Vic it's the one time for sure he's not FOS. Any other time.......??????

Anyway, you guys that love your Nomads, I was right there with you. Don't ruin it for yourselves though and ride a Victory.
