Harlingen Trip
These are a few pics of the bike on the top of the mountain leading into Leakey, TX on my way to Harlingen. I'm on TX state Hwy 83 which is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway. Every March on the first weekend there is a MC rally that begins at Perryton TX on the border with OK and travels the full length (880 miles) to Brownsville TX over a 4 day period to honor our Vietnam Vets. Next year will be 40 years since the last GI came home from that war. The teenagers that fought there are in their 60's or 70's now.

..Years ago..The Confederate Air Force (CAF) Was Based At Harlingen Texas...if they are stil there ..that would be a good place to visit, and check out the War-Birds they have restored (you can even take a ride ..but the fuel cost a lot)
