Curious. What is the extra pressure in the front supposed to do for the handling/stability of the bike, and why? If it is better, why don't manufacturer specs reflect that?

38 front 42 rear. With more pressure up front ,turn in ,into a corner is easier and also rolling the bike around is easier when in the garage, but the biggest reason is to prevent front tire cupping which can happen with aggressive cornering.I drive mine like a Busa, because I can.

The bike will feel very different with the higher pressure in the front. Much more stable when you throw it into a corner. It will feel firm as it rolls over. No one knows why it is slow low from Ma Kaw, it makes zero sense to anyone you talk to...bikers, tire people, dealers...no one seems to understand why.

Feels like a wet noodle going into a corner with the recommended air pressure.

I 2nd what ta-kid said. Low pressure on the front will promote front tire wear (cupping).
