Extended Warranty?

My two-year warranty will expire Nov. 25, and I have been thinking about the warranty extension. On the one hand, they wouldn't sell it unless they were making money on it, but on the other, I would hate to have something happen that would cost me big bucks to repair without recourse. Anybody here have any experience with the extended warranty service? Do you think it's worth it?

You can buy the extended at the time you bought the bike like I did or buy it in 2 yrs when kawa sends you a notice your 2 yrs are up, but might be higher then. i think its worth the $

Thanks, Scoot, that was helpful reading through the previous thread. I'm not the first owner of this bike, it had 7000 miles on it when I bought it. The dealer, as he tried to sell me the extended warranty, said that there is no warranty on it now since it's a used motorcycle. But, when I enter my VIN on the Kawasaki site, it says the warranty expires 11/25/2007. I know the extended warranty is transferrable. Is the original warranty transferrable? Or, am I out of warranty as the dealer said?

I get contradictory information from other dealers, but you all on this board aren't trying to sell me anything, so if any of you know, I would trust your information more! Thanks.

It's my understanding that the original warranty is good until it expires no matter who owns it. I know a guy who sold his bike with some of the original and still had an extended. That was an extra selling point for him. Grant you that was a Suzuki.

Best price is on EBay. I bought a 4 year for $350 from Fremont Motor Sports. I believe the "Buy It Now" price is $390 but they usually have many on auction and not many bidders.
