exhaust

new at this forum stuff, searched for exhaust stuff, no results. I getting ready to put pipes on. On past bikes, always went with Cobra. Thinking of change. So, Cobra vs Vance & Hines. Looking for the biggest and loudest rumble. or maybe somebody running something else I should look at.

The V&H slip-ons make more power and are a bit louder than any of the Cobra s/ons.

If you really want a good sound the Freedom Performance True Duals have an awesome sound, puts the slip-ons to same as far as getting that V-twin sound. But they are louder than the others and don't make quite as much power as the V&H s/ons.

I have the FP exhaust, but haven't been able to install them yet. I was after the looks and the sound more than the additional power. Also hoping the bike will run a bit cooler with the new exhaust.

What do you ride?

I had Stock pipes for about 500 miles before I got Cobra True duals. Broke the Cobra's and replaced with V&H Baggers. The Cobra's are nice, but they are a PITA to modify if you don't like the sound. The V&H Baggers are a little less $$$ and super easy to modify/change out baffles, but they are known for heat cracks in the head pipe.

BTW, Jared got the nearly new stock pipes a long time ago.
