Check out these helmets!

These look pretty cool! I wonder what it takes to be one of the beta testers.

In California it would be illegal.
Everything's illegal in California except illegals.

Hell, I've got two helmet speakers installed in my helmets and that's even illegal.

I already applied, no answer, guess they don't want Canadians who can also test in cold weather to see how it holds up, I also wonder how having a HUD will distract the rider, it may be okay for fighters and other aircraft where they have lots of space, but I would hate to be looking at the HUD and miss that oncoming vehicle that is wandering over the centre line.

It is designed and assembled in Cali., I would have to try it to know if it is distracting for me.

That's pretty cool, allot of driving headed this way (HUD, etc.). Inevitable motorcycles wre to see this stuff. the small window doesn't look TOO distracting. Hope the sound and mic are good quality. Thanks for sharing.

I think it's very worth trying. There are a few YouTube videos showing how the HUD is supposed to work. I really think it looks promising assuming the fit is good, it's quiet and it has good airflow. The only thing I'm not 100% in to is that the visor has to be down to utilze the HUD. I can't tell if it has an interior (drop down) sun visor, either. It looks like the visor is tinted. I could live with a clear visor (I have sunglasses) but I wouldn't want to HAVE to use a tinted visor all the time. I don't ride much at night but a tinted visor sure wouldn't work at midnight.

I had a Pontiac GTP a few years back that had HUD and I loved it. Once I got used to it, which really didn't take very long, I never took my eyes off the road again. Don't know from the video if the helmet has the same range of adjustability. In the car, you could move the window up or down, and dim or brighten it or even turn it off. I would use it. Not a distraction at all unless the incoming calls or other interactive information would cause one to start pushing buttons or doing some other task that would be a distraction. Again, can't tell, but if you could turn on or off the different features that would be nice. Taylor it to your use.
