Front tire jmounted backwards!

I was checking my tire's air pressure and notice my front tire is mounted backwards.
I had a new Dunlop E3 (150/80-16 71H bias ply) mounted 1,200 miles ago and just noticed.
Was done by a local shop that I trusted, guess I'll have to watch them closer next time.
They put Dyna Beads in and it rides great!

Question is: How big a deal is this?

I'm a fair weather rider but hate do run into foul weather (rain) occassionally.
Now I'll be even more paranoid.

They may have installed a rear tire on the front and as a result flipped the running direction as they are mirror images of each other. I have this on my bike because I'm running the double dark side. Rear tires have a little more tread so they should last longer. If you dont ever ride in the rain its a non-issue.

The tread on today's motorcycle tires is a bit of a misconception.
They are water evacuation channels and if you are never riding in the wet you don't need any at all.

Well after reading Doyle Roos' Facebook post I checked my wheel. Yep, the whole wheel was put on backwards.

That's easy enough to fix.

I would ride on in to the place and get them to fix their error for you.

I did that on my bike once, I didn't notice until it was time to change that tire.

No matter what you should let them know about it. No need to raise hell, but it is just one of those things you come to expect to be done right.

HEY! If your wheels are put on backwards does your odometer reading go down instead of up?

This link has a technical explanation for the direction of rotation for tires.
