Spring riding tip o' the day

OK boys and girls, learn from my dumbass.......

Yesterday was a beautiful day and I had to go to two different birthday parties...one 85 miles east of me and the other 85 miles west of me....so I thought...hmmmm....I'm ridin' the bike and I let me wife and kids drive the car. That's the good part.......

So I throw on my nice spring day riding attire.......shirt with no sleeves.........

MY FREEKIN' ARMS LOOK LIKE LOBSTERS............

[size=133:gnch9lnt]DON'T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN!!!!!!!!!!

Spring riding tip o' the day

Yeah, it's that first real ride that always gets ya.

It's only been in the 70's & low 80's around here lately, and I won't ride with bare skin exposed until it gets a whole lot hotter. I've got about 6 bottles & tubes of sun-goo in the house though, so I think I'll just go throw one in the bike right now while I'm thinking about it.

Thanks, Todd.

I usually wear short sleeves and fingerless gloves that have an oval cutout on the back of the hand. I now have a dark brown biker's tan from above my elbows to my wrists and pale hands with a dark brown oval on them. I've been riding with no gloves to try and even things out.

I've used the gloves with the hole in the back and got the brown tan spot. I've had people at work look at my hand and asked what happened. They think I burned my hand cooking. :-/

In the summer I wear the Roadmaster mesh & leather gloves. They are well vented with mesh on the sides of all the fingers, but offer full coverage. I'll tell you, if you go down head first you want to be wearing real gloves. The first thing you'll do is throw your hands out to "catch" yourself.
