It's my "about time" trip.

It has not been the year I had hoped for regarding riding my Nomad (less than 400 miles for the year thus far). That is about to change. At the end of this week, a fellow VAB member and I are taking off on a trip into Colorado. It will be his first trip on his new (to him) 2002 Nomad. We will be staying in motels with the exception of day 3 and 4 where we will be using my Son's house at Mesa Verde Nat. Park.

Suggestions or comments welcomed.

Day 1 (Aug 9)
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7 (Will take an afternoon trip into Rocky Mt. NP and Back to Motel)
Day 8
Day 9 - Home (Aug. 17)

Bill, perhaps on Aug 16 I can meet up and ride a bit with you? You'll love the Peak to Peak ride into Estes.

Jared

You are more than welcome to ride with us. As we get a day out, I will drop you a PM.

Is the ride from Mt Evens to Estes the "Peak to Peak" ride?

It actually only runs from Estes to Central City.

Jim and I are back in Omaha. We put approx. 3,500 miles on the Nomads.

Will post a trip report and pics in a few days. We had no real problems.

Great. Welcome back. I will grab some popcorn, pull up a chair to get ready for the picture show.

That looks like a great trip! How was the Million Dollar Highway and Mt. Evans?

The Million Dollar high way (been on it 4 times) is very scenic but its not a "fun" motorcycle ride. Mt Evans was the most demanding and challenging ride I have made (I have been riding for 50+ yrs).
