For the same money you could buy a Vaquero, or maybe even a Voyager ? If you want something different, sure, buy a Triumph. Be prepared to get a kicking when it comes time to resell. The new Triumphs do seem to lose their value real quick.
My 2 cents seeing as you asked.

The new or from 2010 up are nice bikes I think it was 2010-2011 they won bike of the year. 2010 I'm sure and think 2011 not sure on that one but looked at and almost traded for a thunderbird and had the big bore kit put in. I am under water on my vaquero owe more than its worth so I just could not take that big of a hit. The triumphs have some nice colors this year and last. I'm glad I did not trade I think it would have been like buying another raider and my vaquero is alot more comfortable thats why I bought it in the first place.

They are fast thats why I bought the yamaha raider 1900cc it is scary fast. But at my age I need something with more comfort than speed . I still want some power just dont need the speed any more.

Never thought I would say this but I am just fine with the power the vulcan puts out. I was out riding in the hills last summer getting pretty aggressive with the turns and went by a sheriff which would have been a instant ticket on my old bike, I looked down and wasen't even breaking the speed limit. LOL. The bike is alot of fun just the way it is. Outside of nightmears turbo vulcan they will always be dogs no matter what I do.

Ditto , I gave it some careful consideration myself . After taking my test ride on the Vaquero, and not ever taking a ride on a Triumph , I just felt like all my wants were really fullfilled with the Vaquero. I suppose the advertised 97 bhp would be nice. Comfort ,price and color made the hands-on choice for me.
