Darksiders, will 195/60/16 fit 02 nomad?
I am replacing the MC 150/80/16 rear with a car tire and want to make sure the tire I purchased will fit before I take it to the shop to get mounted. Everythin I found in old posts led me to believe it would. I'm just making a final check.

I think it will, but I put a 175 width tire on just to make sure that I had clearance.

I' too, installed a 175 on the rear. Plenty of clearance.

Never mind just saw it. My understandinig is before 2005 the swingarm is narrower so might be a good idea to listen to ringadingh and go with his advise. I put on 195/75/16 and I had to do some grinding on my swingarm.

I have the 02 also . I run Dunlop sp5ooo 195 - 60 - 16 @ 32 psi. I have about 3/8 clearance at the closest point .

FYI ---- I had a 195/60/16 mounted yesterday and I have a good 3/8 inch clearance. It is a Bridgestone Turanza el4000 and it did not effect my speedo from what it was, which was 5 mph fast at 65 mph with an OEM Metz 150/80/16. So you can put a 195/60/16 on an 02. I am officially a Darksider.
