On the cover of my July issue of Rider magazine,
"UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED"
car tires on motorcycles

I'm not a fan of car tires on motorcycles but this article by Eric Trow is so bias it isn't funny.

Well, with this and a few months ago when their mechanic claimed that you couldn't mix synthetic and non synthetic motor oils I really question them and the value of their magazine.

And it's why I'm letting my subscription run out. That and I am increasingly less interested in adventure riding, which is their focus. I'm a v-twin guy.

No magazine is going to tell people that it's okay to run a car tire, for liability reasons - we know that. But to declare it's unsafe and dangerous without acknowledging that thousands of people have done it safely is nothing more than fear-mongering.
