rim running backwards
Hey All, i put i new front tire on a week ago, and noticed when i got home from installer my rim was backwards. This is more than likely my fault because i didnt tell the installer that i had been running a pirelli rear backwards on my front. Im sure he just looked at the rotation of that one and went the same with the new front tire. Question ???? will it hurt to run it this way ?? besides valve stem being on the wrong side ?? thanks

It won't bother anything, I did the same thing a few years ago. I left it on backwards until the next tire change.

How can you tell. The valve stem on my 15000 sticks straight up from the middle. And why would it matter? This must be a late model thing. I am just wondering.
Thanks for your time

Oh!!! Boy did I feel silly. I crawled all over my front end looking for an arrow, dot, line, or any thing else to see if my rim was direction specific. Thanks for the info. I feel better, still silly, but better.
Thanks for your time

Unless the installer replaced the valve stem he wouldn't have removed it. Does your valve stem now point to the right side of the bike? That will make it easier to get to. You can always loosen the nuts holding it in place and rotate it 180 degrees.
