No benefit to going lower. Side walls will roll more and tread life will decrease. Also makes it harder in the corners. Oh yea welcome to the dark side. Two wheels down and stay safe.

Just remember that the tire is rated for over 1200 lbs. You may have about 500 to 600 lbs being supported by the rear tire. 32 psi is about what you would have it inflated to if it was on a car with the respective load weight.

If you keep it at 32 psi, keep a close eye on the wear in the center of the tread.

Personally, I'm running between 26 and 28 psi in mine. The only difference I can tell between that and a higher pressure, is the ride is a tiny bit smoother at the lower pressure.

It actually wouldn't hurt to run it a tad bit higher for at least the first 500 miles. That seems to be the consensus on most of the darkside forums for the tire to "break in" as they put it. After the first 500, then start dropping down to your final pressure.

Just my opinion, others may differ.

I'm running 40# in the tires on my truck. Bit of a rough ride but I have a small lift so it would ride rough anyway. Doesn't seem to wallow as much with that pressure. They're wearing well. Does it seem to wallow more at a lower pressure on the bike or does it seem solid?
