Windshield Emblem

Does anyone know how to remove the emblem on the front of the windshield? It's the big chrome and red V. I don,t really care for it and I am not sure how to remove it. ???

It is probably glued on like the other emblems on the Nomad. I took my side emblem off by heating with a hair dryer and sawing behind it with a piece of dental floss. Just go slow and do it right.

My bike is spending the night at the dealer, so I couldn't go look at mine, but the Bike Bandit online parts fiche diagram looks as if it's just glued on. FYI, it's $35.12 for a new one.

Double sided tape! Just heat up with Hair dryer - use fishing line to slice between - clean up residue with WD-40 - your done!

I love that emblem! I'll take it off your hands if you get it off.

I took the one off my windshield last weekend. I sat it in the sun (it's not mounted on the bike), and let it heat up about 1/2 hr. I took a 2' length of nylon string line (thin stuff like brick masons use), and started at on of the side points. Wrap each end around something easy to hold, start pulling it towards you while "sawing" L & R. It will come off with little effort if the double sided tape is warm. Then clean off the residue with WD-40, or laqer thinner. (dont get the thinner on your windshield though, it will make it hazey)
