Whitney Houston gone.
Whitney Houston has died at age 48. Can't say it's a big shock, but it is sad. A wasted talent and life.
Just saw it on MSNBC

Hadn't heard that. She was a great singer. Drugs can certainly shorten your life.

But for the grace of God there go I. That is why some of us even gave up the alcohol before it killed us!!

As hard as I can, I can't see where the loss was.
Seems today that if you aren't a drug addict, pusher, or anything else in that line then you just ain't normal! The sign of the times....

I thought she sounded like a wailing cat in a lot of her songs. I never knew she was a druggy.

Sad thing, met a lot of women like her in my life, they are high class high standards... but that have a weakness for the "bad boy" and she started down the road to this end when she tagged up with Bobby Brown......
Actuall a sad story, Im sure someone will turn into a profit in a made for TV movie pretty soon.

She used to have a beautiful voice. After half a lifetime of drug abuse, she lost her voice and most of her good looks.

I can't say I am surprised. She had a great voice and future before the drugs took over. It's just a shame.

It is sad when people shorten their lives.
I used to turn the radio off when her songs came on. Her voice did nothing for me. I've seen photos of her not looking good. And I'm not surprised she has left at an early age. Maybe she will be happier where she has gone.

Geez... what a bunch of heartless, tone-deaf people on here!!!!
So for those that didn't think she had talent... I would hate to imagine what the hell you think talent is.

If you listen to her rendition of " I will always love you " and then think she had no talent or wailed like a cat, you need to have your hearing checked.

She definitely was one of the great singers of all times. I always enjoyed hearing her songs. She was either the niece or cousin of Dionne Warwick who was another great singer and had lots of great songs.
