How to get small dent out of fender (See pic)
So I got my fender in a couple of days ago and it's in absolutely perfect condition except for a small dent on top (See the pic below)! at $180 it was a hell of a deal considering brand new the fender is $550 painted to match my bike! What's the best way to get this dent out myself without having to go to a body shop?

If that doesn't work lay it dent down on a folded towel and beat on it with a hard rubber hammer.

The dent extends on RH side of the fender into the formed transition of the curved top to the flat side of the fender. That is going to be a bitch to get out!. I would put your passenger seat on it and pretend the dent isn't there. Else you need to fill the dent and repaint the fender.

Take it to a PDR place (paintless dent removal) they should be able to get it back to perfect without needing to repaint unless the paint is cracked.

How much did you pay for the fender? In your first post, you said $180. Later you said $480. If it was $480, you should have bought a new one. If $180, then the savings may be worth the trouble.

The point is, it could be either. He could have been off either way. The difference is $300.

and tap with a rubber mallet progressively harder until you start seeing results. Don't get in a hurry! If you have a heat gun, heati from the inside, not too hot. Good luck Mike

Is it really under your seat? If so, just leave it. Beating it with a mallet, etc could crack the paint, causing it to spread to other parts of the fender.

Yes, the 4 was a typo. I paid $180 and that included shipping. So I made $2780 off the hit. The only thing the fender didn't have was the turn signals, but mine are just fine so I'll transfer them.
