air cleaner cover

Hey all, i have a chuckster single plate set up on my bike. on a ride this weekend i lost my chrome cover for my K&N filter. i was quick enuf to grab the filter but my chrome cover is history. Ive been all over the net today, and for the life of me cant find a replacement cover. would almost be ready to buy the whole K&N kit again, since im dead in thew water without having a filter on the bike. any help would be great !!! thanks

I'm running a 6 1/2" Mr Gasket which retails for under $20.00 at most chain auto parts stores.

Try K-N and see if you can just get the cover..

Thanks chuckster, went onto your website, and got the part # for the K&N kit. emailed K&N today and got a reply with the phone number to contact their customer service. hopefully i can just get the cover, if not, will be buying the whole kit again. blue locktite will be used this time !!!!!

My K&N cover also fell off the bike the first summer I had it. Fortunately I noticed right away and went back for it. It was marked up a bit but I still use it. Now I use blue loctite on the bolt that secures it and have never had a problem since.

got a replacement coming from K&N. I could have sworn the customer service rep told me it was $7.99 plus shipping. when i looked at my online bank statement they charged me $ 35 !!!!. gonna wait to see what my bill says when it shows up, but hell i could have ordered the whole kit (including filter) off ebay for $ 48 with free shipping !!! GRRR !!!

they originally charged me $ 35 but when i went back into acct today they only charged me $17 and change. received the cover today. so if anybody else looses one , covers alone from K&N are a lil over $17 shipped.

I'm glad they fixed their mistake. $35 for just the cover would have been a bit steap for sure.

My Big Air Kit chrome cover fell off and went skidding down the highway. It was ugly! It's about $80. to replace that puppy. :(
