NCR Weather improving...

Well guys and gals... the weather is beginning to peak its head out of the cold winter cloud here in the Midwest. :)

It was over 60 degrees here today in Northern Illinois.

So now that the weather is beginning to cooperate... you know what that means!!! Yee-Haa!!!

Heck guys, I bought my Nomad April 2009 and have ridden some every month since. One of the advantages of living in the south. We probably earn less working but it is a bikers paradise.

I went for a 70 mile ride last evening, temp was 48. It is supposed to rain this evening and possibly tomorrow. Saturday 50 and sunny, I will put a couple of hundred miles on for sure. Cabin fever has finally broke!

Was 70 yesterday, 68 today. Best part it was 58 this morning. No heat needed. Now if they'd only raise the speed limits.

Yesterday I rode a bit over 35 miles for a docs appointment. I left about 8am headed south and the first town showed 33 degrees on a reader board. No wind to speak of and I was dressed for cold. Had my HippoHands over the controls plus gloves. After the appointment, started back and the sun was on my back this time. Over 70 miles and I loved every bit of it.

BTW... my new Vance & Hines duals with self-modified baffles have the best sound ever. I especially like the shiftdowns. Aaahhhhhhhhh!! Music to my ears!

We'll see if I can make it 4 days this week tomorrow. Trying to get the bike broken in. Hope to pass 1000 mile mark tomorrow.

I predict my riding season will begin this week here. Weather is starting to have days that are reasonable... and my (injured) back is starting to feel like it might be able to stand a few short rides to start the season.

About 68 here today a little windy but may ride for a bite to eat. The sun feels great. Looking for more sunshine.

We had some 50's on Saturday so I got out for just a few miles. Another day of cold and wiiiindy today but the rest of the week is looking better. Got all the maintenance finished up tonight, and a new set of tabs on. (tabs are $16.50 here in MN)
