A tornado hit west of Fayetteville this morning.
I hope Jesse and his family are alright.

Thanks to all, for your concern. We are fine.
The tornado went west of us about 25 miles. The power went off here shortly after 6 am. No TV / Weather channel or radio we were having some lighting but not much, I really wasn't concerned. We had a friend spend the night and her sister called and said there was a tornado on hwy 59. AR 59 runs from Ft Smith to Siloam Springs so it was about 25 to 30 miles west of us. I could see dark clouds to the west and lots of rain. After the rain and some wind came through the sky cleared up and got really nice. Then the electric came back on and we started to get reports of tornado. We drove over later and were turned away because the rescue was still in progress. I think Glen can take Cincinnati, AR off the map, it looks like there wasn't much left. Three people were killed and many injured, Prayers go to all the families.

Jesse, glad to hear that you and your family are all fine. Sorry to hear about Cincinnati and the deaths. There were also deaths in Missouri. NBC Nighly News showed the destruction. My thoughts and prayers go out to the people in Arkansas and Missouri. We could have severe weather here in north Alabama. Much too warm for this time of year. It is 62 as I write this. Probably got close to 70 here today.

Glad to hear everyone is OK Jesse. I can't count the times I've had to duck here in Texas while a tornado went over. I actually threw a mattress over my family one year and went and videotaped a tornado.

I talked to my son in St. Louis this evening. They had a tornado come through his neighborhood. No damage and everyone is OK. Thank goodness they had a basement.

Jesse, glad to hear you guys are alright. I came home to find out that my mother-in-laws aunt and uncle were among those killed in Cincinnati. I had only met them once some years ago.
Her cousin and her husband were also injured when the tornado hit their home and threw them into the field behind the house.

Dave & Crystal, sorry to hear about your loss. I'll go by tomorrow and see if I can help with rebuilding. I don't move around good enough to be much help with clean up.
I was off on my estimate of distance yesterday, my gps says it is only 12 miles from here. It's just one of those places you can't get to from here.
This may be our project for our church mission this spring. We are trying to get more involved with local rebuild and repairs. We can use people who wouldn't be able to go on week long trips.

Let me add my sympathy for those that were lost.
Anyone heard from Russell? (revmrq) His signature says Plato Missouri which is right near Fort Leonardwood and Rolla. I've seen more reports in these areas as well.
